How ECHS Beneficiaries Order Medicines Online

The complete prescription-to-doorstep process, explained step by step.

Ordering prescription medicines online as an ECHS beneficiary takes about five minutes the first time, and under a minute for repeat orders. Here is the entire process, from prescription photo to doorstep delivery.

Step 1: Sign in with your email or Google account

No paperwork and no registration forms — a one-time code to your email (or one tap with Google) creates your account. You can add a mobile number afterwards for delivery updates.

Step 2: Upload your prescription and ECHS card

Take clear photos in good light: the doctor's prescription and the front of your ECHS card. JPG, PNG or PDF up to 10 MB. Your card is saved securely after the first order so you never upload it twice.

Step 3: Confirm your delivery address

Pick a saved address, type one, or tap “Use My Location” to detect your area, district and PIN code automatically — then add your house number and a landmark.

Step 4: A registered pharmacist reviews your prescription

Within a few hours, a qualified pharmacist checks every medicine, verifies availability, and prepares a quote showing the MRP, your ECHS discount (up to 40%) and the final price per medicine — including pack sizes and total tablet counts.

Step 5: Approve the quote — pay nothing online

Review the medicines and prices and tap Confirm. There is no advance and no token amount; the quoted total is what you pay in cash when the medicines arrive.

Step 6: Free home delivery with live tracking

Your order is packed and handed to a delivery rider. Track it live from your dashboard until it reaches your door — handover is OTP-confirmed, and you pay cash on delivery.

Common questions

What documents do I need to order ECHS medicines online?

Two photos: your doctor's prescription and your ECHS card (front side). The ECHS card is saved to your profile after the first order, so repeat orders only need the new prescription.

Can a family member order on behalf of an ECHS beneficiary?

Yes. Many orders are placed by sons, daughters or grandchildren of veterans. Sign in with any email, upload the beneficiary's prescription and ECHS card, and set the beneficiary's home as the delivery address.

What if a medicine in my prescription is unavailable?

The pharmacist marks it on the quote — either with a substitute (clearly labelled with what it replaces) or as unavailable. You see this before approving, and you can ask questions through the in-app chat.
